Sept. 10th 11:00 am
PROGRAM: “From Seeds to Happy Transplants” Club member, Julie Conroy, will help us dive into the world of Aerogardens. We will learn how this compact and innovative hydroponic system creates the perfect environment for seed germination and growth indoors. This program will equip us with knowledge and skills to confidently start herb, flower, and vegetable seeds in our Areogarden and watch them thrive.

PROGRAM: “Essential Oils in Your Home and Garden” Suzanne VanOver is a licensed massage therapist, specializing in pure essential oils and is also a certified forest therapy guide. She will help us explore the wonders of how these versatile oils can enhance our gardening practices, from natural pest control to weed control and more.

KINDNESS ROCK GARDENS WORKSHOP Join us for a creative and uplifting workshop where members will learn how to create their own kindness rocks from start to finish. All materials will be provided. Come join us for a morning of fun. This workshop will be held at the RVA fields pavilion off of Powerville Road at 10:00 am. (rain or shine)

PROGRAM: “Awesome Arrangements for the Holiday Season” Elvis Mansilla, partner in Lola’s Floral Boutique in Montville will again be guiding us through his designs for this coming holiday season. Arrangements will be raffled off at the end of his presentation. Member, Mary Ellen Gannon will be assisting Elvis.

PROGRAM: “Gardening Can Be Murder” Marta McDowell, garden consultant, writer, lecturer, author, and resident of Morris County, will be our very special speaker again. Marta will be telling us about her new book with garden themes in murder mysteries. She will bring her wonderful books if you wish to purchase one.
This program will once again, be co-sponsored with the Holmes Library in Boonton.
Feb. 11th 11:00 am
PROGRAM: “The Story of Chocolate and Migrating Birds” Dorothy Mullen, teacher and naturalist at New Jersey Audubon, will talk about the cacao tree – it’s history, culture and how chocolate is made. Some of our migrating backyard birds are helped by these trees growing within the rainforest.

PROGRAM: “Got Pests? What You Need to Know” Ann Fahey, Superintendent of Horticulture of the Morris County Park Commission will help us discover the best ways to keep pests out of our garden. We will learn when to use pesticides and the many alternatives that will give us a pest free garden.
May 13th 11:00 am
PROGRAM: “Shrubs Through the Season” Marc Zukovich, well known lecturer and President of Sterling Horticultural Services and an Adjunct Professor of County College of Morris will focus on the most reliable and carefree shrubs that you should consider using in your garden. Both flowering and evergreen shrubs will be discussed for every season. Handouts will accompany a slide presentation, and all your questions will be answered.

MEETING AT GREENWOOD GARDENS in Short Hills at 10:00 am. – We will have a 1 hour guided tour of the gardens. BUSINESS MEETING to follow with a short program on “Seed Saving Mastery” which will be presented by club member, Julie Conroy
Bring a brown bag lunch and a beverage for lunch in the pavilion on the grounds of Greenwood Gardens.
